Well Caitlyn started school to day full time. She now goes to the breakfast & after school club, so has finished a nursery - it's the end of another era... Hang on, I know a band who did a song about that... Hehe, ok well maybe not the end of finishing nursery but still ;)
So all is official, my little girl is all growed up!!!

Oh dear me, it doesn't bode well for later... She had temper tantrums earlier, saying she didn't want to go back to school today because she didn't like it O_o But she said she did yesterday, so I think it's just the upheaval to her usual routine, mmmmm...

Well it's official! My little baby girl is no longer my little baby girl!! She's all growed up!!!
Caitlyn officially started school today... Although the word started is a little misleading, she was only there for two & a half hours. They're staggering the intake & gradually building them up to full-time days to get them used to the environment, all the new rules, new faces etc, which, is a good idea in principal but a bit of a pain in the arse when you work full-time yourself about 20 miles away from the school :s That said at least I have my remote access so am able to work from home this week. Mum & Dad have kindly volunteered to do next week & ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) daevid the week after. After that she starts full-time at the school & goes to breakfast & after school club.
She was really looking forward to it & so was I but then I got a little emotional (all inside) when it came to leaving her there. I know it's no different to her going to nursery full-time but it's the end of an era & the start of a new one. I know she'll always be my little girl but she's growing up all too fast.
She made lots of new friends (although can't remember their names just yet!), played on a bike outside, did a picture & made a pattern & all in two & half hours. I'm so proud of her :)

It's Friday night & I'm stuck in doors watching the X-factor... Well it's just finished actually but there has to be better things to do with your evening!!! Mmm, I'm thinking I may just re-arrange my lounge. I've got lots of other things to do around the house, which really ought to be done first but NO, god damn it(!), I think I'm going to do it. (Although I think I may have to buy an extension for my TV aerial! And if it doesn't all work out, I'll just have to put everything back where it came from!!!)
Well they say a change is as good as a rest & I've been thinking about re-arranging the lounge for a while, so here goes...
p.s. If you don't hear from me after several days, send in the rescue party as I may well be stuck under a book case ;)

I'm picking up my new car tonight just in time for traveling oop north tomorrow & I must admit that I'm quite excited about it... Bounce, bounce, bounce :) :) :)
Well, I say new, it's new to me. It's actually my Mum & Dad's old car which they're giving me, so daevid is having the Renault.
It's Skoda Superb 2.5 TDI - read "go like sh1t of stick". Mum & Dad have warned me to be a wee bit careful with it, as the first time Mum took it out she got nicked, hehe. I shouldn't laugh but I am quite excited. Yeah, new car!!!

Well it is, so I thought I'd put a quick post up...
Me, well I'm fine. Been keeping busy. Was doing some gardening last weekend. Still need to do a bit more & seriously need to do some decorating. So far, haven't done a thing this weekend, just enjoying the peace n quiet, chilling n listening to music. Think I really ought to do some domestic-y type stuff soon. Not really been going out much of late to be honest, trying to save the pennies, so apologies if I don't get to see you as often as I'd like. Was in London for Pride the other weekend. Went back to London with daevid, dmh & stoogoff on Wednesday to see Ladytron play at the Astoria - f**king excellent night. Going on an organised bike ride round Thetford forest tomorrow, which should be fun - so looking forward to getting me bike off road.
Other than that not much. Trying to organise a few drinks round here next Friday (25th) to celebrate me birthday, so feel free to come round - just let me know if you're coming (ring or text) as I have to organise to get goodies in etc.

Well, it feels like I haven't been on here in a age - apart from the other day that is...
So I thought I'd update my luverly journal with lots of things that I've been up to as I've just been far too busy to update it! Anyway been of visiting various friends round & about the local vicinity & back up north... Might need to make some journeys to other parts of the country soon - apart from WGW at the end of the month.
And going back up north for Wendy House later this month. Anybody wanna go or already going?

Well it was. Just lots of ups & downs at the mo'. Yesterday was down, today... well it wasn't up there at the top of the ups but it was better than yesterday, as I say!
So, how's the plan going for the week so far?
Well didn't go bowling last night but still went to dinner with my boss for a "chat", which didn't sound too good when she suggested it but actually it wasn't that bad. It was just that, a general chat "So how's it going..." type scenario what with everything that's going on, no work was mentioned at all which I think was a bonus. The even bigger bonus was that I didn't have to pay for it either, grand. Free meal, two of my favourite things "free" & "meal". Not that I'm doing a great deal of the latter at the mo'. In fact, I spent most of last night not being able to sleep 'cos my stomach was moaning at me saying "What's this you've given me?" & "You expect me to do what with it!?!"
Anyway, spent tonight babysitting as per the plan & am still planning on drinking with said friend who I was babysitting for tonight. I expect I'll get the full story tomorrow about what actually happened.
Any how, time for bed said Zebedee...

OM Gawd, twice in one day!
Although I'm only taking one day at a time at the mo', the week a head already consists of:
Sunday night - looking after C
Monday night - Bowling & all you can eat Chinese - not that I'm eating a great deal at the mo'!
Tuesday night - Babysitting for my friends to go to Relate!
Wednesday night - looking after C & quite possibly drinking wine with said friend who is going to Relate on Tuesday!
Thursday night - not sure yet but most Thursday nights of late have been spent drinking with next door
Friday night - night on the tiles in Cambridge, if anyone fancies?!
Saturday - quite possibly retail therapy followed by night out but need a plan for the night as it's my weekend off!

Well what a busy week I've had!
Swimming & lunch with friends on Sunday
Office Monday
Reading Tuesday - computing group meeting *yawns*
Purchasing Exhibition Wednesday - busy busy busy - followed by drinks in pub with work colleagues & then more drinks with the neighbour when I got home
Reading again Thursday - CPM Contract Law course *interesting, good refresher* & yet more drinks with neighbour
Office again Friday followed by drinks with my friend Sue (who I went swimming with on Sunday)
Coffee with Tash, followed by hair cut this morning & the day's not over yet!
I was also supposed to have an appointment with the mortgage adviser this morning but that got canceled yesterday due to him being ill - how inconsiderate! These people just don't think about us poor people when canceling appointments, no consideration at all, hmph!!! - Apparently the branch manager will get him to call me when he returns to work.
Anyway don't know what to do with the rest of the weekend now but may go for a bit of retail therapy next weekend followed by a night out somewhere. Anything going on anywhere next weekend? And does anyone want company? *Room for a small one*

Well got a few busy days a head of me. In Reading tomorrow for a meeting 'bout computas - not sure when I'll get back, got our exhibition on Wednesday - which means working late(!) & then back in Reading for a contract law course on Thursday - which won't finish 'til about four/five o'clock & then I gotta travel back! Then it'll be Friday & the weekend again! Gawd, doesn't time fly!!!

Well I'm a happy little bunny. Caitlyn came into my room this morning way too early, so I stuck the telly on for her to watch cbeebies. After about half an hour or so she turns round to me (admittedly probably prompted by cbeebies) and says "Happy mother's day Mummy!"
I must admit it was kinda one of those "awe" moments that make you feel all happy and warm inside.
Plan for the day, possible swimming outing with Caitlyn and one of my friends (I met when I was pregnant) and her son and then back to theirs for lunch - roast lamb, mmm (apologies to all you veggies out there!).
